Therapy takes a lot of courage
Therapy isn't always pretty, and it can take a lot of courage just to show up. I respect that. I want to be with you on that journey, including (maybe especially) the parts that are a little too much for most people to handle. I'm totally in favor of having a little fun in session and having a sense of humor about it, but I'm also here for the parts when it's really hard. I called this site "Audeo", which means "I dare", to recognize the daring that it takes to cope with a mental illness.
If you're dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, or a psychotic disorder, you're who this practice is designed for.
You can use the contact form below, call 312-593-3327, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. This email is encrypted, so if you're concerned about privacy, it's the most secure way to contact me. I use TigerConnect for encrypted text messaging (free app) with clients.
If we need to plan for your safety, you should know that this is a private practice, and I'm not typically available after hours. If you're thinking about suicide or you're otherwise at risk right now, please call 911. We can also make an emergency plan together as part of your therapy, and you can look at my resources page (in prograess) for apps, links to worksheets, youtube links to help with relaxation/meditation, and other resources to help with coping.
If your insurance isn't listed here, you can pay in advance and I'll submit insurance forms for you electronically if you want.
